The DMZ, South Korea

The Korean Demilitarized Zone is a border barrier that acts as a buffer zone between North and South Korea, It was established after the Korean War between 1950 and 1953. Visiting the DMZ requires a guided tour and since there are so many that depart from Seoul, we had no issue finding one since we were spoilt for choice. We chose this one from Viator and the drive took about an hour from Seoul.

At the DMZ we got to learn some history about how it came to be, I personally found the trip overrated and overly commercialized but hey! folks found a means to make money and they went for it. Anywho, here are some photos I took during the trip.

That's it folks! not the most interesting post but still part of my trip to South Korea worth mentioning.
